The Hume & Hovell Ultra Marathon from 7 to 8 October 2023 uses The Hume & Hovell Walking Track, constructed as a Bicentennial Project in 1988.
There are 22km half marathon, 50km, 100km and 100 mile distances; the 100km can be run solo or as part of a team relay.
The track is a mixture of constructed walking track and fire trails. The highest point is over 1200 metres in elevation, with many scenic natural attraction along the course including Buddong Falls, Paddys River Dam, alpine snow gums, and Mannus Lake.
This event is organised by members of Wagga Wagga Road Runners. Event Director Peter Fitzpatrick is an accomplished distance runner for many years. The event is supported by the Australian Ultra Runners Association Inc (AURA).
