CANCELLED | Dawn League Sunset 5000m Track Race
We are changing things up from our usual morning runs. Dawn League is hosting an evening 5000m track race on Saturday the 3rd of February. Enter Here.
Depending on numbers, we will have 4-6 races starting from 6pm.
Entry fee is $10 per person. Please enter via the link below and make sure to include your goal time so we can seed you into the correct race!
We will have a small sausage sizzle and drinks on the evening so please bring some cash if you don't want to go hungry! (no card payments)

It’s been a while! What a way to welcome in the new year than a long-weekend adventure to our favourite mountain destination, Bright!
With Buffalo Stampede fast approaching, getting time on course is the best way to get ready. There will be 3 Groups, 1 doing the 10km course and 2 doing the 20km course. Both courses are new, if you’ve done them before, so come down and see what different adventure awaits.

Riverina Trail Run Series | Fed Hill
O-Health Riverina Trail Running Series | Federation Hill Challenge
The Federation Hill Challenge in Wodonga, Victoria on 8 October 2023 is the last race in the Riverina Trail Series 2023.
Starting and finishing at Julia Ronan Park in West Wodonga, the courses use the Sundew fire trail, Carex Trail, Federation Hill, Kangaroo Track and Blue Bell Track. There are 3 distances to choose from; 5km, 10km and 21km.
The local trail series comes to its conclusion with 3 x race options:

All courses take in Fed Hill, with the long course taking in Klinge’s and McFarlanes’ Hills.
Harrietville Half Marathon
The Harrietville Half Marathon on 8 October 2023 runs from Bright to Harrietville along the Great Valley Trail in Victoria.
Along with the half marathon, there is also a 10.5km and 5km fun run/walk plus a kids' 2km (12 years and under).
The event is organised by a local running group with a passion for running, health and wellbeing, and the community.

Hume & Hovell Ultra Marathon
The Hume & Hovell Ultra Marathon from 7 to 8 October 2023 uses The Hume & Hovell Walking Track, constructed as a Bicentennial Project in 1988.
There are 22km half marathon, 50km, 100km and 100 mile distances; the 100km can be run solo or as part of a team relay.
The track is a mixture of constructed walking track and fire trails. The highest point is over 1200 metres in elevation, with many scenic natural attraction along the course including Buddong Falls, Paddys River Dam, alpine snow gums, and Mannus Lake.
This event is organised by members of Wagga Wagga Road Runners. Event Director Peter Fitzpatrick is an accomplished distance runner for many years. The event is supported by the Australian Ultra Runners Association Inc (AURA).

We are back for month #11!
This time we are heading to Beechworth 🤩
22km with 650m - The course takes in some of the beautiful forest between Beechworth, The Murmungee Lookout, and Stanley.
Starting at Lake Sambell Carpark, where the public toilets and the playground are. Please turn up at 06:50 for a 07:00 start. James will be there at the start to send the groups away and help people into groups if needed.

This will normally occur on the 4th Sunday of the month. However, you may realise that the 4th Sunday in December is actually Christmas… So, we have moved this to Saturday 24th with a staggered start from 7am.

Youth Girls Run
Calling all young girls! This group run is aimed at teens & pre-teens. Find the Facebook Event Here.
With global running day just around the corner, here at Dawn League we have been brainstorming and thought it would be great to organise a run for the girls.
Depending on the response we get it could be a once every 2 month type of thing or it could be a one off.
We were looking to plan a group run for teens and pre teens to be able to come along for a 3-4km jog to meet other like minded girls and to help them feel like they are part of our community.
We know it’s tricky for girls (and women) to always feel safe when out running and we have been fortunate enough to create a great community of strong women and we wanted to extend that to include the next generation.
It would be great for the girls to feel comfortable asking any of the older girls to pair up so that perhaps they can get out for a jog more often or to encourage and perhaps even guide them on their running journey. Running doesn’t have to be a solo sport and let’s be honest it’s far more fun when you get to share it with a friend!
We’re hoping to create an inclusive and safe environment for all girls to continue to develop their love of running.
Run pace will be adjusted to suit and we will run with a lead and a tail runner so no one falls behind!
First run will be starting and finishing at Frankie’s (starting from the car park opposite Frankies so we don’t start with a road crossing).
Parents can come on the run or they can wait for us at Frankie’s. We’re hoping everyone can hang around for a coffee, hot choc, or the likes afterward to meet some new faces but absolutely no pressure at all.
Shout out to Bel or Shivonne if you have any questions and please share with any parents/girls you think might be interested.

We are VERY excited to be bringing this event back for you all on April 22.
The On-running team will have plenty of demo shoes for people to trial, we will have some fun with a couple of runs, there will be a presentation from the On team, and we will finish off the night with some pizza and refreshments.
How the night will unfold:
6pm | Intro to kick off the night by our running coach Mathieu Doré
6:05pm | On-running presentation
6:30pm | 3km demo shoe run, followed by a social block relay race
7pm | Pizza and beer/wine
All ages and running abilities welcome.
